Course Description
This course introduces theVirtuoso® Analog Design Environment L for setting up and controlling analog andmixed-signal simulations. You run analog simulations using Spectre®, SpectreTurbo, and UltraSim simulators. You also explore our newest analog simulator, AcceleratedParallel Simulation (APS). You run specialized simulations, includingdevice checking, DC match, Virtuoso Analog VoltageStorm® Option, and VirtuosoAnalog ElectronStorm® Option. You apply the Open Command Environmentfor Analysis (OCEAN) scripting language to running simulations in abatch mode.
Learning Objectives
After completing this course, youwill be able to:
· Simulate circuits with theVirtuoso Spectre Circuit simulator, Spectre Turbo, and Virtuoso UltraSimfull-chip simulator
· Analyze simulation results withthe Virtuoso Visualization and Analysis waveform display, the calculator, andthe Direct Plot utility, using dependent expressions to create and set outputs
· Run parametric and stabilityanalyses
· Use the ComponentDescription Format (CDF) to modify component parameters
· Use the Hierarchy Editor tocreate design configurations
· Run the Virtuoso AnalogVoltageStorm and ElectronStorm options to determine IR-Drop andelectromigration issues in a design layout
· Use the OCEAN scripting languageto run batch simulations
