广东外语外贸大学管理学科源远流长，最早可以追溯到1982年原广州对外贸易学院的企业管理专业。2001年5月，成立广东外语外贸大学国际工商管理学院。2014年国际工商管理学院与MBA学院合并成为商学院。商学院以“培养国际高端商科人才”为使命，以“成为国际化特色鲜明的高水平商学院”为发展愿景。

In May, 2001, GDUFS approved of the establishment of the School of Management, which was later merged with the Graduate School of Business in 2014 to form the School of Business. 广东外语外贸大学商学院与经管学部共同建有应用经济学一级学科博士点，拥有工商管理和管理科学与工程2个一级学科硕士点，有企业管理、技术经济及管理、旅游管理3个二级学科硕士点和工商管理硕士、应用心理学硕士2个专业学位授权点，有工商管理、市场营销、人力资源管理、物流管理、电子商务5个本科专业以及1个工商管理国际创新班。(商学院目前有两个国家级一流本科专业建设点——工商管理、市场营销）
SOBoffers a First-level Doctoral Program of Applied Economics co-established with Economics and Management Division, GDUFS, 2 First-level Master’s Degree Programs of Business Administration and Management Science and Engineering, 3 Second-level Master’s Degree Programs of Business Management, TechnologicalEconomics and Management, and Tourism Management,plus 2 Professional Master’s Degree Programs in Master of Business Administration and Master of Applied Psychology.SOBalso offers 5 undergraduate programs of Business Administration, Marketing, Human Resources Management, Logistic Management and E-commerce, and has set up an International Innovation Class of Business Administration.
2013年，工商管理学科被列为广东省优势重点学科。2014年，学院获批为广东省国际化创新型工商管理人才培养模式创新试验区。2015年，学院通过AMBA国际认证。2016年，《商业伦理与社会责任》被评为国家级精品视频公开课程；学院启动EPAS国际认证，并获得EFMD会员资格。2017年，学院启动AACSB国际认证，并获得会员资格；启动CAMEA认证并获得认证资格；MBA项目获评腾讯中国优质特色MBA项目；工商管理学科在教育部第四轮学科评估中获评B-，专业排名为全国前30-40%。2018年,《全球化商科人才“4＋2”培养模式的构建与实践》获广东省教学成果奖（高等教育）一等奖；广外工商管理学科获批为广东省高水平大学建设计划重点学科；学院通过AMBA再认证，获得EPAS国际认证资格；获评“2018年度品牌价值商学院”；国际丝路创业教育联盟广州基地落户我院。
In 2013, the Business Administration discipline was listed as a provincial advantageous key discipline. In 2014,SOBwas selected as the innovation pilot area of Guangdong province on the talent training model of international innovation and business management. In 2015,SOBattained AMBA accreditation. In 2016,Business Ethics and Social Responsibilitywas awarded National High-quality Public Video Course. Also,SOBlaunched EPAS accreditation and received EFMD membership. In 2017, the School launched AACSB accreditation and obtained its membership,andalso initiated CAMEA accreditation and successfully obtained its accreditation qualification. In the same year, MBA program was awarded Outstanding and Distinct Program by Tencent. And the Business Administration discipline received the rating of B- in the fourth discipline assessment organized by Ministry of Education, with its subjects ranking top 30-40% in the whole nation. In 2018,The Design and Practice of “4+2”Training Model for Cultivating Global Business Talentswon the first prize in Teaching Achievement Award of Guangdong Province (Higher Education). And the Business Administration discipline was approved to be a key discipline of High-Level University Construction Plan of Guangdong Province. The year of 2018 also witnessed the success of AMBA re-accreditation, EPAS accreditation qualification, the awarding of“2018 Brand Value Business School”and the founding of Guangzhou Base of the Silk-Road Entrepreneurship Education Network in SOB.
2019年，《国际认证驱动的国际化管理人才培养模式构建与实践》获广东省教学成果奖（高等教育类）二等奖；工商管理和市场营销专业获国家一流专业建设点；获评“2019年度知名品牌MBA项目”、“2019年度中国商学院最具特色MBA项目”等荣誉称号；2020年，学院通过了EPAS国际认证，成为全国第三家获此认证的商学院；“跨国并购与创新战略研究中心”获批建设广东省普通高校人文社科重点研究基地。
In 2019,The Construction and Practice of International Certification-driven International Management Talent Training Modelwon the second prize of Guangdong Teaching Achievement Award (Higher Education); Business Management and Marketing majors have been selected into the National First-class Major Construction Sites as well as awarded“2019 Well-known Brand MBA Program”and the“2019 Most Distinctive MBA Program of Chinese Business Schools”; In 2020,SOBpassed the EPAS international certification and became the third business school in China to receive the certification; The Strategic Research Center of Transnational Merger and Acquisition and Innovation has beenapproved to build a key research base for humanities and social sciences inregular higher educationuniversities in Guangdong Province.
学院现有教职工96人，其中专任教师72人，教授22人、副教授29人，云山杰出学者2人，云山青年学者10人，境外教师4人，70%以上的教师具有海外（境外）学位或海外（境外）研修经历；学院另有广东外语外贸大学云山工作室首席专家3人、云山讲座教授1人、长期或短期聘用外教近10人，并聘请了50多位国内外著名管理学家、经济学家和企业家为客座教授或校外硕士生导师，形成了一支富于创新、勇于实践、知识结构和年龄结构合理的教师队伍，为建设一流商学院奠定了师资基础。
SOBcurrently has 96full-time teaching and administrative staff, among whom 72are full-time teachers with 22 professors, 29 associate professors,2Yunshan Outstanding Scholars,10Yunshan Youth Scholars and 4 international teachers.Over 70%of the faculty enjoys an overseas degree or education experience.SOBhas 3 Chief Experts from Yunshan Studio of GDUFS, 1 Yunshan Chair Professor and nearly 10 international teacherswithlong-term or short-termcontracts. Over 50 famous management experts, economists and entrepreneurs from home or abroad are involved as visiting professors or off-campus master supervisors.SOBstrives to build a faculty team with strong sense of innovation, great courage of practice, reasonable structure of education background and age, laying a solid teaching basis for constructing a first-class business school.
学院现有1个省级人文社会科学重点研究基地、1个教育部备案区域与国别研究中心（拉丁美洲研究中心）、6个校级人文社会科学重点研究基地和研究团队、1个中外共建合作研究中心（广外-梅西大学可持续发展与企业社会责任研究中心），形成了以企业国际化为核心特色的重点研究方向，科研成果明显。近年来，在《管理世界》、《Tourism management》等国内外权威期刊上发表高水平论文100余篇；70余个国家级、省部级项目获得立项；出版著作、教材及译著等90余部；30余份咨询报告被省级及以上政府或领导采纳。
SOBhas 1 provincial research base for humanities and social sciences, 1 Research Center for Latin America Studies which is a regional and national research center registered in the Ministry of Education, 6 key research bases and teams for humanities and social sciences, and 1international cooperative research center(GDUFS-Massey University Sustainable Development and CSR Research Center). With enterprise internationalization as the key research direction of distinctive characteristics,SOBhas accomplished inspiring academic achievements. In recent years, over 100 high-qualitypapers have been published in authoritative domestic and foreign journals such asManagement WorldandTourism management; SOB has also launched more than 70 national and provincial projects. Moreover, teachers of SOB have published 90 monographs, textbooks or translated works. Morethan 30 consulting reports have been adopted by the government.
学院积极推进国际化战略，已与美国亚利桑那州立大学、澳大利亚昆士兰大学、英国兰卡斯特大学、法国格列诺布尔商学院、智利圣托马斯大学、韩国蔚山大学等近50所国（境）外院校建立了合作关系，开展了科研合作、教师互换、学生交换、本科或硕士双学位联合培养、本硕连读培养、联合举办学术会议及海外游学等合作项目。每年中外学生互访或交流约200人次。
SOBactively promotes internationalization strategy. To date, it has established cooperative relationships with nearly 50 famous international universities and institutions like Arizona State University, University of Queensland, University of Lancaster, Grenoble Business School, University of Santo Tomas, and University of Ulsan. Cooperation areas cover joint research, teacher exchanges, student exchanges, double-degree programs for undergraduates and postgraduates, bachelor and master degree liaison, jointly hosting academic conferences and overseas study trips. There are about 200 visitsandexchanges between Chinese and foreign students each year.
学院一贯重视学生的创新创业能力、实践应用能力、思辨能力和沟通能力的培养，学生在各级各类比赛中获得多个国家级奖项。同时，学院建有国际丝路创业教育联盟广州基地、广东省跨境电商行业协会创业孵化基地，大力推动“一带一路”背景下的全球创业教育事业。
SOBhas always attached great importance to the cultivation of students’innovation and entrepreneurship, practical application ability, thinking and communication ability. Students have won many national awards in various competitions at all levels. At the same time,SOBhas established the Silk-Road Entrepreneurship Education Network, Guangzhou Platform and the Entrepreneurship Incubation Base of the Guangdong Cross-border E-commerce Industry Association to vigorously promote the global entrepreneurship education under the background of the Belt and Road Initiative.
商学院毕业生综合素质高，就业竞争能力强，普遍受到用人单位的欢迎，呈现高就业率和高层次就业良好态势。学生就业率多年保持在100%，多次被学校评为“就业先进集体”。学生就业方向包括外资企业（雀巢、西门子、可口可乐、宝洁、箭牌、四大会计师事务所、渣打银行等）；国有企业（中国移动、中国电信、中国石化、四大国有商业银行、中国邮政等）；民营企业（百度、阿里巴巴、腾讯、网易、海尔、华为、碧桂园、美的、TCL、富力地产等）；政府机关（外交部、新华社、纪委、海关、税务局、公安厅等）。学生出国留学的学校有美国哥伦比亚大学、美国卡耐基梅隆大学、美国范德堡大学、伦敦大学等。我院拥有推免究生资格，每年均推荐或接收优秀学生免试攻读硕士学位。

The employment rate has remained at 100% for years, andSOBhas been rated as an“advanced collective for employment”by GDUFS for many times. The graduates are employed in areas including foreign-funded enterprises (Nestle, Siemens, Coca-Cola, Procter&Gamble, Wrigley, the four major accounting firms, Standard Chartered Bank, etc.); state-owned enterprises (China Mobile, China Telecom, Sinopec, the four state-owned commercial banks, China Post, etc.) ; private enterprises (Baidu, Alibaba, Tencent, NetEase, Haier, Huawei, Country Garden, Midea, TCL, R&F Properties, etc.); government agencies (Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Xinhua News Agency, Commission for Discipline Inspection, Customs, Taxation Administration, Public Security Department, etc.).
